Norbert Siedler takes 24 Hours Nürburgring with a Lamborghini Huracán

The Austrian will start at the endurance classic together with Konrad Motorsport

Wildschönau, 6th May 2019

Norbert will participate in the ADAC 24h-race at Nürburgring-Nordschleife in 2019 again. Just as in the International GT Open, the Tyrolean will steer a Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO. His team for the famous race at the end of June will be Konrad Motorsport. In addition, Norbert will sit behind the wheel of the Konrad-Lamborghini in the qualifying race in May as well.

“Konrad Motorsport’s package suits me perfectly this year. I am driving the Lamborghini Huracán in the International GT Open as well and Franz Konrad plans to start with an exciting driver line-up,” Norbert is happy. The Nordschleife-specialist already raced for Konrad Motorsport in the 2012 Porsche Carrera Cup season. Back then, the victory in Siedler’s home race at Red Bull Ring in Spielberg (A) was one of several highlights celebrated together.

Ahead of the 24 Hours Nürburgring, Norbert shows optimism: “Of course the competition will be extremely strong at the 24h-race. Numerous cars are more or less directly entered by the big manufacturers. We will probably be the only Lamborghini in the top class SP9 and I am confident that we can become a big surprise,” says the 36-year-old, who was the fastest freelance race-driver in last year’s Top-30-time-attack session with the third position.

In this year, Germany’s biggest car race will be held on the weekend from June 20 to June 23. More than 100,000 spectators are expected and will create a festival atmosphere at the campgrounds many days in advance. The complete race will be broadcast on German TV station NITRO and on YouTube with German and English commentary.

As a preparation, Norbert will start together with Konrad Motorsport in the 6 hour qualifying race from May 18 to 19. There he will share the black and green Huracán GT3 EVO with Michele Di Martino (D) and Axcil Jefferies (ZW). The complete driver line-up for the 24h-race will be announced later.
